There is some excellent coarse and game fishing to be had in Meath on the many rivers and lakes. The majority of game angling on the Boyne is controlled by Angling Associations and some by private fishery owners.
Anglers wishing to fish for brown trout on Angling Association water must obtain a permit from the association and fishing methods must be in accordance with their current rules and regulations.
